Mission Statement

Our mission is to challenge young people to do great exploits in the Kingdom by utilizing excellence in the Arts to transform lives. Arts Evangelica students take the Arts out into the community and beyond - to orphanages, elderly homes, special needs schools, homeless shelters, and to the nations. We incorporate all of the Arts but we specialize in dance worship. Our goal is to teach children to draw near to God as a part of their training. Arts Evangelica students progress from beginners to pre-professionals, studying Classical Ballet, Pointe, Jazz and other dance forms, Drama and Voice in a Christian environment of excellence. No child is turned away due to finances and the school provides scholarships so that even children living at or below the poverty level can receive excellence in training. Arts Evangelica re-writes Classical Ballets and Fairytales and reclaims them for God's glory with Jesus as the hero. The school also produces original Music and Scripts for Musical Theatre productions. These productions are adapted to fit onto a dirt floor in the smallest village or onto the finest stage accompanied by a live orchestra. We encourage our students to pursue the Arts as a career and to use them to spread the Gospel worldwide.

Lisa Kidd is the Founder of Arts Evangelica. She is an anointed performer, teacher and speaker. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude with BFA and AA degrees in the Arts - specializing in Classical Ballet. She and her husband Grady, who is a member of the Arts Evangelica team, have performed throughout the USA and in Europe. They have two sons - Gray and Liston. The entire family is gifted vocally and travels with Arts Evangelica to provide live accompaniment for many of their performances. Gray is married to Karen - a former alumna and principal dancer of the Arts Evangelica Dance Company.

In an interview with Today’s Christian Woman magazine Lisa said, “My endeavor to help children know God in a creative way has drawn me into an even deeper relationship with Him.” This devoted relationship with Jesus Christ is evident in every aspect of the Arts Evangelica ministry and has resulted in hundreds of eternal salvation.
